Silent (Night) Disco

Join your fellow Dandy Minions, Radical Faeries and Xmas-in-July revelers on the historic Curran stage to bid adieu to Christmas in July with a groovefest of epic Yule proportions, with Juanita MORE! behind the decks, powered by HUSHconcerts. Come through the stage door entrance and don a pair of headphones to SLEIGH the silent night away at our SILENT DISCO. Dress in your best Christmas as calamity concept - and you could win tickets to HOLIDAY SAUCE opening night!

This is an all ages event. Those 21+ may enjoy refreshments from Sonoma wineries and local breweries.

Never been to a silent disco? Each guest is given a pair of wireless headphones to hear the music it is transmitted directly to your ears via radio frequency. Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.

We believe the holidays (even Christmas in July!) are much more about presence than presents. 5% of proceeds from SILENT (NIGHT) DISCO will be donated to Openhouse charity, to support Bay Area LGBT seniors overcome the unique challenges they face as they age by providing housing, direct services and community programs.

We have a whole week of Christmas in July festivities to celebrate as we gear up for HOLIDAY SAUCE: 2017 MacArthur Fellow Taylor Mac’s take on the holidays, in the latest installment of the 24-DECADE HISTORY OF POPULAR MUSIC project. Celebrating the holiday season in all of its dysfunction, Taylor Mac is joined by longtime collaborators designer Machine Dazzle, music director Matt Ray, a spectacular band and surprise special guests to reframe the songs you love and the holidays you hate.

HOLIDAY SAUCE, presented in association with Pomegranate Arts, is Taylor Mac’s first San Francisco appearance since the now legendary 24-hour performance at the Curran last fall.
