Loren McIntyre

Loren McIntyre (1917 - 2003), was an American explorer, photojournalist and author who worked extensively in South America. His photos and articles appeared in National Geographic and hundreds of other journals and digests, eventually inspiring author Petru Popescu to write his best-selling book and inspiration to THE ENCOUNTER, Amazon Beaming.

Like many photographers, Loren was rarely photographed himself. These 4 photos show him exploring, engaging, teaching and being taught - from the 1960s through the early 2000s.

Join us to experience Loren's story through Simon McBurney's dazzling one-man-performance of THE ENCOUNTER. April 25 - May 7.
